We asked him to meet up and 4 smoothies later he had officially joined the Love Hemp Team. People like Andreas are not only super talented and cool to hang out with, but are also a great ambassador to change the negative perception that still exists around cannabis and cannabis based products. Elite level athletes like Andreas use Love Hemp CBD products to aid recovery and combat exercise indused muscle inflammation. As CBD based products gain traction among high level athletes more and more progress is being made to reverse the plant's negative image.
We(Cyprus CBD Shop team) were on our way to Protaras to go snorkelling and have a morning of chilling and swimming around with Turtles when we started discussing Andreas following us on instagram. We had wanted to get in touch as he's a super talented athlete but we weren't sure if he shared our view on Cannabis based products like CBD. As if it was a sign, by the time we had exited the water, we had a DM by Andreas enquiring about some of our Love Hemp products.

Enjoy a small Q&A with Andreas Theodorou here:
Name/ Age / Location?
- Andreas Theodorou/27/Nicosia.
How long ago did you start riding?
- I’ve been riding bikes pretty much since I can remember. I started with XC and Road cycling at first and then around 2014-15 got into gravity sports such as Downhill and Enduro.
How did you get into MTB and downhill racing?
- My parents were both outdoor activities enthusiasts, and mountain biking was a part of it. So every Sunday we used to be at the mountains enjoying nature. As for the Downhill mountain biking, when I was a little kid, someone (still can’t remember who), gave me a DVD (New World Disorder) featuring some of the best freeriders in the world and that got me fired up ever since!
What keeps you motivated?
- Motivation comes from a variety of different sources. The main source is racing and wanting to perform at your best possible level. My video projects, is another way to stay motivated and outdo myself every time.
Do you do any additional training to keep yourself fit?
- For sure. Downhill mountain biking is one of the most demanding sports out there. I spend quite a lot of time in the gym doing mtb specific workouts, on the road bike for big long training rides and sprint sessions, and of course as much time as possible on the downhill and enduro bike.
Worst injury suffered due to mountain biking?
- Well, I had a massive accident on 2015 where I broke my thoracic and lumbar spine along with a few other minor injuries compared to this one. About a year and a half of rehabilitation and back on the bike I was.
Favourite place to race?
- Racing home is always special because of the local fans, your family being at the races and all that, but in general I really like racing anywhere where the tracks are fun.
Best place you have ever been for mountain biking (home or abroad)?
- Pff!! Well, at home my all time favourite place is Macheras Mountains (Macheras Bikeland). The riding there is just so good! Other than that, I’ve been to so many awesome places but one of the best ones has to be the Portes Du Soleil in the French Alps.
Best Mountain Biking moment/ memory?
- Oh man, there are so many! Every time i get out in the mountains with my friends is a special memory for sure! Haha!
How do you use CBD in your training/ riding routine?
- CBD has been a game changer for me. I use it in many different ways. From mid-ride snacks (jelly domes), to post ride recovery with the oil atomiser spray and body salve.
Love Hemp Oil vs Gummies?
- Hmm.. That’s a tough one! Love Hemp oil keeps me going every day!
